Cappadocia Fairy Chimney Hot Air Balloon Flight at Dawn
Fairy chimneys are the reason Cappadocia fills with balloons before sunrise. Wind and water have cut the region's soft volcanic rock into cones and hollow spires, and that terrain reads differently from the air than from a road: the eroded valleys line up into one continuous field rather than a set of separate viewpoints.
