Melbourne City Balloon Flight at Sunrise, with Optional Breakfast

Melbourne is the largest city in the world where balloons fly over the centre on a regular basis. That is the whole proposition here. Depending on which way the wind is running that morning, flights pass directly over the CBD or close to it, with the towers coming up alongside the basket while the streets below are still almost empty. Sunrise is the only slot. Ballooning is the oldest form of aviation there is, and from inside it the city sounds different: no engine on board, so what reaches you is trams starting up and the first traffic, heard from a few hundred metres up. Breakfast is optional. One-way pickup from central CBD hotels is free but has to be arranged in advance.
