Which balloon flies depends on who has booked. The operator keeps 14 of them, all different sizes, and matches the envelope to the load on the day: number of guests, party sizes, passenger weights. Too heavy and it will not fly. Too light is not safer either. That is why nobody can tell you in advance which basket you are getting. What does not change is the space per person. Baskets come as a single open compartment, or divided into two or four, and the biggest compartment takes seven. The pilots fly on a professional racing team, and the baskets have doors rather than a wall to climb over, which matters more on the way out than on the way in.
