Hunter Valley Sunrise Hot Air Balloon Flight and Breakfast

This is the far one of the two Sydney-area flights. Camden Valley is 70 minutes from the city; the Hunter Valley is about two hours north, far enough that the drive is part of the plan. It is also the oldest wine region in Australia, with the first vines planted here in the 1820s, ahead of anywhere else in the country. Balloon Aloft runs both, and calls itself multi-award-winning. Take-off is at sunrise from the corner of Wine Country Drive and Broke Road. Passengers can help assemble the balloon and inflate it before boarding. The flight lasts an hour, and the ground below is not the same every morning: Pokolbin, Lovedale, Rothbury or Broke, four pockets of vineyard country, with open valley in between. The landing is followed by a gourmet breakfast at Peterson House, a winery and restaurant, and champagne with it. Cancellation is free up to the date given at booking.
