Pamukkale Balloon Flight over the White Travertines with Champagne
The travertines at Pamukkale are bright enough to hurt your eyes at ground level. From a basket, with early sun across them, they read as one sheet of terraces stepping down the hillside, and a balloon moves slowly enough to watch that change as the light shifts. Ballooning here has grown year on year, helped by weather that cooperates more often than it does in most places. There is very little noise in a balloon. No engine, just the burner, and long stretches of nothing at all between burns. Champagne is part of the booking, on the ground after landing.
