Shared Sunrise Balloon Flight over Albuquerque and the Petroglyphs

An hour in the air at dawn in a shared basket, with the sun coming up over the Sandia Mountains on one side and volcanic ground on the other. That western ground is the part people do not expect. Albuquerque sits beside a line of old volcanoes and lava flows, and from a basket the flows read as dark ribbons laid across the desert, which they never quite do from a road. A toast and snacks follow the landing.
