Gold Coast Hot Air Balloon Ride, Transfers and Photo Pack

This is the pared-back way to do a balloon morning on the Gold Coast. Hotel transfers, the flight itself, a drink once the basket is back on the ground. Nothing else is bolted on. Balloons here go up at dawn, because that is the window when the air is calm enough to launch, so the pickup happens in the dark and the whole thing runs on a very early clock. The transfers are the part people underrate. A balloon cannot lift off from a built-up beachfront, so the launch site sits inland in the farm country behind the coast, and getting yourself out there before dawn is a poor start to the day. With transfers in the price, somebody else drives, in both directions, and the return leg counts for as much as the outward one once the flight is done and nobody in the group wants to be behind a wheel. The photo pack is worth more than it sounds. A basket is an awkward place to be working a phone, particularly over the side, and having the pictures handled means the record of the morning does not rest on you. Sparkling wine is poured at the landing site once the envelope is down and the crew have it under control.
