Phoenix Sunrise Balloon Ride over the Sonoran Desert
An hour over the Sonoran Desert at sunrise, with the view running the full 360 degrees and no window frame in the way of any of it. Groups large and small go up together. The desert around Phoenix is not empty ground. The Sonoran is the only desert where the saguaro cactus grows, and at first light every one of them throws a long shadow, which is the hour when the pattern of them becomes readable from the air. A toast and light refreshments follow the landing.
