Phoenix Golden Hour Balloon Ride with Bubbly and Charcuterie
The afternoon version of the same flight, timed for golden hour instead of dawn. Between 2,000 and 5,000 feet over the Sonoran Desert, 45 to 60 minutes, with the light going long and orange while you are up in it. On the ground afterwards: chilled champagne, or sparkling cider if you prefer, and a fruit and cheese plate on a laid table out in the desert. Round-trip hotel transport can be added, with pickup from homes and hotels in Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, Glendale, Mesa, Arcadia and Cave Creek, provided you are within 30 minutes of the check-in location.

Enter at 7th Ave and Deer Valley Road and turn immediately left at the T in the road. Follow the three white Balloon Ride Parking signs towards the Civil Air Patrol Building, turn right there, and use the marked Balloon Ride Parking spaces.
Phoenix Sonoran Desert Preserve
Check-in at the Deer Valley Airport Balloon Ride Parking Area, unless you took the round-trip hotel transfers. From up there the Sonoran Desert runs out below, with its landmarks, wildlife and plant life all in view.
Camelback Mountain
Past Camelback Mountain in the Phoenix Valley, a favourite with local hikers and cyclists, all of whom look very small from a basket.
Downtown Phoenix
Downtown Phoenix in the distance as the sun starts to go. Coming in to land you spot the laid table waiting out in the desert, linen and china, which gives the game away: chilled champagne and a fruit and cheese plate. First-time flyers get the balloonists' ceremony, performed by crews worldwide for more than a century.

- Comfortable casual clothing is always recommended on our ballooning excursions, as we are enjoying nature in a desert environment. The temperature in the balloon is about the same as on the ground, so be sure to dress appropriately for the day’s anticipated temperatures. On any given day we recommend closed toe shoes, a light jacket, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses and a camera
- To ensure a safe hot air ballooning experience, passengers may not be pregnant at the time of flight, or have had recent surgery or broken bones, and should be able to stand for the duration of the flight (approximately 60 minutes). One should be able to jump off the second step of a ladder and be in good general health. All passengers are required to complete a waiver of liability before the tour.

Meeting point
- When entering at 7th Ave and Deer Valley Road, make an immediate left at the T in the road. Follow the 3 white signs that say “Balloon Ride Parking” down towards the Civil Air Patrol Building. Turn right at the CAP Building and park in the parking spots marked “Balloon Ride Parking”.
