Maroc Montgolfiere Balloon Flight over Marrakech with Village Breakfast
Maroc Montgolfière has been flying here for 33 years, and books the first departure of the morning, the one where the sunrise is guaranteed rather than hoped for. The baskets are small, which changes how the flight feels: you are in a group of a manageable size, not a crowd. The hour in the air covers the desert, the palm grove, the villages below and the Atlas range across the horizon. Breakfast is the part worth singling out. It is served in a tent and prepared by people from the douars, the villages the balloon has just passed over, which is how the operator puts money back into the places it flies above.

Marrakech
The zone where balloon companies are cleared to fly sits north of the Palmeraie, about thirty minutes from the centre of Marrakech. The view from up there runs a full circle: desert, palm grove, villages and the Atlas range.

Morocco
Thirty-three years of flying, less than 20 km from Marrakech and facing the Atlas Mountains, with the sunrise watched from a thousand metres up. The programme: Pickup from your hotel or riad and the drive to the take-off site. Tea or coffee and a croissant while the balloon is prepared. Take-off, the sunrise at 1,000 metres, and an hour of flight. A local breakfast in a tent, prepared by people from the villages the balloon has flown over. An individual, personalised flight certificate. The drive back to your hotel or riad.
