MarrakechAn hour in the air, which is longer than most flights over this stretch of desert, with the Atlas on one side and the ochre city of Marrakech on the other. The classic formula covers round-trip transport from your accommodation, the flight itself, a Berber breakfast in a kasbah built in the southern Moroccan style, and a personalised flight certificate. The morning starts at the launch site with drinks and traditional Moroccan sweets while the crews get the balloons ready. Two departures to choose between. The sunrise flight goes up for the first light over the Atlas and the desert. The after-sunrise flight leaves later, in softer light and at a less punishing hour. One honest caveat from the operator: the sunrise is not guaranteed.

A balloon flight over the Marrakech desert, with the Atlas Mountains in view throughout. It starts at the take-off site with drinks and traditional Moroccan sweets while the balloons are prepared. The flight then runs a full hour above the desert, the Atlas peaks and the ochre city of Marrakech.
