Floating over the Sonoran Desert

What's included

  • Hotel pickup and drop off (if option selected)
  • Post-flight you are treated to a champagne or sparkling cider toast and a fruit + cheese plate at your desert landing site.
  • Champagne
  • Commemorative flight certificate

  1. 702 W Deer Valley Rd, Phoenix

Enter at 7th Ave and Deer Valley Road and turn immediately left at the T in the road. Follow the three white Balloon Ride Parking signs towards the Civil Air Patrol Building, turn right there, and use the marked Balloon Ride Parking spaces.

  2. Phoenix Sonoran Desert Preserve

Check-in at the Deer Valley Airport Balloon Ride Parking Area, unless you took the round-trip hotel transfers. From up there the Sonoran Desert runs out below, with its landmarks, wildlife and plant life all in view.

  3. Camelback Mountain

Past Camelback Mountain in the Phoenix Valley, a favourite with local hikers and cyclists, all of whom look very small from a basket.

  4. Downtown Phoenix

Downtown Phoenix in the distance as the sun starts to go. Coming in to land you spot the laid table waiting out in the desert, linen and china, which gives the game away: chilled champagne and a fruit and cheese plate. First-time flyers get the balloonists' ceremony, performed by crews worldwide for more than a century.
