Este vuelo despega al amanecer sobre el valle del Río Grande, con el sol asomando por las montañas Sandia y el cielo tiñéndose de rojo y naranja a sus espaldas. El piloto te va explicando lo que estás viendo: cómo está formado Nuevo México y por qué el terreno que se ve debajo se comporta de esa manera. El aterrizaje va acompañado de un brindis y unos aperitivos ligeros.

Rainbow Ryders Hot Air Balloon
Early start, check-in at the office, then the drive to the launch site, which changes day to day depending on the weather. The pilot starts inflating as soon as you arrive, and you can help the crew with it if you want the hands-on version. Once up, the Rio Grande Valley opens out below. The route is the pilot's call based on wind direction, and it can take you over the city itself or low enough to skim the river and wave at people on the ground. About an hour in the air, then the landing, the ground crew arriving, a glass of sparkling wine and a flight certificate before the drive back to where the morning started.
